As long as I can remember I would be the one who initiates activities that involve everyone. Even while in the Marine Corps I would be the one who set up the Christmas party and organized community events.

After I retired from the Marines I got back into camping, I always surround myself with friends that like to play cards, go camping, skiing, and riding motorcycles. I organize and host large group community camping events, just like we did when

I was a kid, taught by my parents and older friends. I try my best to pass on this tradition of community with my kids and grand-kids and my friends.

I guess the bottom line is I don't want anyone to feel alone in a crowd.
